Notting Hill Olde World: cast traditional cabinet hardware

Notting Hill Olde World is the brand's most period-traditional cabinet hardware line, hand-cast in pewter and bronze at a fine-arts foundry in southeast Wisconsin. Notting Hill Decorative Hardware was founded in 1996, and Olde World addresses the heavily traditional end of the catalog — pieces that read clearly as Old-World European and American period hardware rather than transitional or restrained traditional.

What Olde World pieces bring

The collection covers knobs and pulls in heavily ornamented period silhouettes: detailed cast surfaces with scrolls, rosettes, and applied figurative detail; shaped backplates with scalloped or beaded edges; and finishes that lean warm and dark to match Old-World cabinet palettes. The casting carries surface texture and hand-applied finish variation that give each piece a hand-made read. Finish options include antique pewter, antique brass, weathered bronze, and selectively hand-painted accents.

Old-World traditional kitchens with stained dark cabinets, European country and farmhouse kitchens, period restoration projects, lodge and rustic homes, and bath vanities in heavily traditional baths. The pieces don't suit modern, transitional, or restrained traditional installations — the ornamental density is high enough that lighter cabinet styles get visually overwhelmed.
